OUTDOOR VENTURES 4U
I set up OUTDOORVENTURES4U after being made redundant from an Outdoor Activity Centre in 2020 after 35 years of service, so plenty of experience in a range of activities such as Canoeing, climbing, archery, team building and development etc.
OUTDOORVENTURES4U mainly offers First Aid and Bushcraft related courses to groups, individuals and parties
Also available Canoe coaching, Leadership and Safety awards offered by British Canoeing.

First Aid
Outdoor First Aid two day Units 1 & 2 - £135pp
Outdoor First Aid 1 day Unit 1 - £80pp
Note: The Paediatric elements of the course can be incorporated into the above with additional costs for Certificate and booklet.
Emergency Outdoor First aid Unit 1 - one day £80pp
EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work) one day -£80pp
FAW (First aid at work) - three day - £180pp
FAW Re qual - two day -£135.00pp
Student First aid - 3 hours - £40 (min of 4)pp
Basic Life Support course Level 2 - 3 hours £40.00 (min of 4)pp

What is First Aid?
First aid is the immediate treatment of a casualty prior to more experienced help arriving and taking over.
Our courses run through scenarios and possibilities that will help you become more confident and ready to deal with first aid whatever situation you may be in.

What is Bushcraft ?
Bushcraft is having the knowledge to be able to use natural materials to live comfortably.
In Bushcraft there are no set ways of achieving an outcome, what works in one situation may not work in another therefore there is no set way of doing things, meaning lots of different ways will produce the end result.
Our courses show various ways to get this end result then it is upto you to choose the best for you, whether that is setting up a tarp, lighting a fire or carving a tent peg.
Bushcraft by canoe courses offer the chance to paddle an Open Canoe and look at the options for setting up an overnight camp, how to prepare a fire, set up pot hanger systems and get that ever important brew on the boil - plus much more.

Bushcraft, 1st aid related & Canoe coaching / Safety courses
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
This depends on the course you choose.
If it is First aid then the course will cover all aspects of first aid that you may come across in your line of work or everyday life, the course will give you the confidence to administer first aid knowing that your intervention my help to save a life.
DO I NEED MY OWN EQUIPMENT?
For First Aid and Bushcraft courses all equipment will be supplied, we do ask that you wear suitable clothing for the course and details of this will be sent on a confirmed booking.
Those booking onto either Canoe courses or Bushcraft by canoe courses would need there own boats, paddles, buoyancy aids etc, however there may be an option to hire these items at an additional cost.
This would depend on the venue being used, please email for options.
WHAT AGE DO I NEED TO BE?
Courses can be arranged for groups of all ages although Bushcraft courses that involve the use of sharp tools etc would require a responsible adult to accompany each child.
Further details can be discussed prior to making a booking.
WHAT IF THE COURSE IS CANCELLED?
Terms and conditions will be sent out with a booking form explaining cancellation details.
DO I NEED TO BE IN A GROUP?
This depends on the course.
First Aid courses can be booked as individuals or as a group at the stated venue or a venue of your own choice.
Bushcraft courses can be booked as individuals, groups, parties, families etc.
Canoe courses may differ slightly depending on the type of course.
DO I NEED TO PAY FOR THE COURSE IN FULL?
A 50% deposit is required on booking either by BACS or cheque.
The full amount will be requested at least 2 weeks prior to the course date.
WHAT ARE THE BOOKING Ts & Cs?
Cancellation terms are:
More than 4 weeks 100% refund
Less than 4 weeks 50% refund
Less than 2 weeks 25% refund
Less than 1 week 0% refund
A polite reminder will be sent to you a couple of weeks prior to the course date, any payments not received will assume that the course is no longer required and the above charges will apply.
CAN COURSES BE BOOKED ON DIFFERENT DATES?
If you would like a bespoke course specific for you or your team then course dates can be arranged, venues may change depending on availability or if you have your own training / meeting room then this may be an option which will also reduce costs etc.
